Episode Transcript

Hello, I'm Mike Ryan, and welcome to Episode 6 of 'Hair Care.' In this episode, we're tackling a frequent question I hear: "Are some shampoos better than others?"

Yes, I do have one or two that I recommend over others. However, it's essential to remember that all shampoos have a drying effect because they're designed to remove oils. So, the real question is, which shampoos should you avoid?

When choosing the right shampoo, my advice is straightforward: be cautious with those that are heavily advertised. While advertising does its job of selling, it doesn't necessarily mean they're offering the best product.

Another thing to note: don't always trust the labels promising soft, shiny, and silky hair. Because, let's face it, all shampoos have a drying effect. They aren't actually making your hair soft, shiny, or silky.

And here's a specific tip: shampoos that mention '2 in 1', '3 in 1', 'Extra Strength', or 'Dandruff Control' are typically the most drying. So, if you've got dry hair, these might not be for you. But, if your hair leans on the oilier side, they could be a good fit.
